Best Eyebrow Shape For Your Face

Eyebrows sure are a tricky thing to get right and figuring out the best look according to your face cut definitely isn’t easy. It’s like combining art and geometry into one thing.

Your eyebrows should accentuate your facial features. Step into Elite Brow Bar and we’ll do the hard work for you. In the meanwhile, here’s a guide to help you know about the ideal brow shape according to your face cut.

We’ve broken down face shapes into six main types, which are:

Face type: Oval Shaped Face
Ideal brow: Soft angles and shallow arches

Most eyebrow shapes complement an oval face, so feel lucky and happy if you have an oval face. According to experts, it is almost impossible to go wrong while deciding on a style in this case. So, if you want to play it safe, we recommend you maintain medium thick eyebrows with a soft angle.

Face type: Oblong/Long Shaped Face
Ideal brow: Flat brow with a low lying arch

For people with a long shaped/oblong face structure, our goal is to shape your brows such that it looks like they’re minimize the length of your face. This is done by modelling flat brows with a slight curve where the arch is supposed to be (a low lying arch). Flatter brows help distract from the length of your face while perfectly complementing it.

Face type: Round Shaped Face
Ideal brow: Lifted, angled arch in the brow

The trick that works for people with a round shaped face is making sure their eyebrows look sharp, to balance out the soft features, since the length and width of their face are roughly the same. Therefore, their eyebrows would look great with high and sharp arches. This will also help cut the fullness of a round face and can also create the illusion of length.

Face type: Square Shaped Face
Ideal brow: Strong yet flat brows with a soft curve

A square shaped face means having an angular jawline with roughly the same height and width. For people with a square-shaped face, we focus our skills to work and balance out the sharpness of the features, while deliberately adding the illusion of length. This can be achieved by shaping the eyebrows in a way that they are high, but have a soft curve instead of sharp arches. It’ll make you look more eager and attractive.

Face type: Heart Shaped Face
Ideal brow: Soft curves and low arched brow

Heart-shaped faces are wider at the forehead than at the jaw, and have a pointed chin so slightly thicker brows can help balance features. When working with people having a heart-shaped face, the goal is to divert attention from their strong pointy chin. This can be achieved by keeping the curves in the brows soft. The arch is ideally kept low and full to add the appearance of length to your forehead.

Face type: Diamond Shaped Face
Ideal brow: Rounded brows

People having a diamond-shaped face have the widest brow and temple region, as compared to other face cuts. Here too the goal is to balance it out and create softness, that’ll counter the sharp features of the face. For this, we create a prominent but full curve in the brow, to assist in reducing the appearance of width.
